On April 8, I will be at the University of Zaragoza to present my MSCA ReLMI project. I am looking forward to engaging in discussion with PhD researchers on a topic that continues to challenge and inspire me: recycling and reuse in the Middle Ages. How do we, as historians, actually work on these themes? What sources do we use - and what limits do they impose? Where does evidence end and interpretation begin? The session will offer an opportunity to reflect on methods, case studies, and open questions, with a focus on material circulation and recovery practices in medieval Tuscany. Far from being a distant world, the Middle Ages continue to raise questions that feel strikingly present when we look at how resources were used, reused, and reimagined. See you in Zaragoza - ready to discuss.
