I am delighted to share that Manchester University Press has offered me a contract for a forthcoming book. The volume, titled Making Things Last: Reuse, Repair, and Recycling in Late Medieval Tuscany, emerges from years of research and writing on practices of sustainability in the pre-modern world, with a particular focus on late medieval Tuscany. This milestone represents an important step in a long-standing academic journey and a topic of enduring scholarly interest: how objects were maintained, transformed, and given new life in medieval societies.
